11 Plus Non-Verbal Reasoning Exam Preparation in year three

We’d suggest that no 11 Plus specific Non-Verbal Reasoning is done in year three at all. In our view it is counter-productive and most importantly takes time away from other more important activities.

There are, however, a couple of activities which can help. Firstly children should pay special attention to lessons covering shapes and rotations and reflections when these are covered at school, and secondly in a fun way doing some spot the difference type puzzles can help to build up this core skill (but only if children enjoy doing them).
